Admissions are open to all children regardless of gender, ethnicity, faith, abilities, health or any other attribute.

Admissions in Nursery to VIII

For admission to Nursery a child must have completed the age of 3+ years on 31st March of the year of admission. Eligibility of age will be calculated for subsequent classes on the above mentioned formula. Registration form can be downloaded from our website (download link given below) Or can be obtained in person from the school office on payment of Rs. 800/- (Day scholars) & for Boarder 1700/- .
1. Registration starts from the month of December. Registration does not guarantee admission.
2. The admission is offered on the availability of seats on first come first serve basis for classes up to VIII.

Admission to Class IX - Eligibility

Admission to Class IX shall be open only to such a student who has passed Class VIII examination from an institution affiliated to CBSE or to any recognized board or is recognized by the Education Department of the Government of the State/UT in which such an institution is located.

Second Admission test date : 08.02.2020
Third Admission test date : 22.02.2020
Fourth Admission test date : 07.03.2020
Fifth Admission test date : 14.03.2020
Sixth Admission test date : 21.03.20
Seventh test date : 07.04.2020
After 07.04.2020 we will take on the spot Entrance Examination
Test Subjects : Hindi, English, Science & Maths
Syllabus : Class VIII level
Total time : 2 1/2 hours
Total marks : 100

Based on admission test merit suitable number of candidates shall be called for interview. Admission shall be granted on merit.

Admission to Class XI

The regular XI Class studies commences from 15th April, 2020. The Provisional admission to Class XI will commence from 1st March, 2020 and our old students, who appeared in AISSE in March 2020, may submit the admission form available from the office on or before 20th March,2020.
For external students who have passed or appearing for Class X examination from CBSE, state boards or any other recognized board an admission test shall be conducted as under:

First Admission test date : 31.01 2020
Second Admission test date : 08.02.2020
Third Admission test date : 22.02.2020
Fourth Admission test date : 07.03.2020
Fifth Admission test date : 14.03.2020
Sixth Admission test date : 21.03.20
Seventh test date : 07.04.2020
After 07.04.2020 we will take on the spot Entrance Examination depending on the vacancy
For Science with Maths : Admission test in English, Science & Maths
For Science without Maths: Admission test in English & Science
For Commerce with Maths: Admission test in English & Maths
For Commerce without Maths: Admission test in English only
For Humanities: Admission test in English

The syllabus for admission test is same as that of Class X SA-2 examination of CBSE.Time duration for each paper is one hour with 25 marks.
Seats will be offered subject to vacancy. A committee of faculty members will screen boys and girls who have appeared X examination from HGS itself. Option in every combination of subject will be offered on the basis of aptitude, merit and vacancy. Merit list shall be prepared on the basis of Class X First Term Evaluation

Criteria For Admission / Allotment Of Streams

Science stream with Maths

1. A minimum of B1 / 80% grade in Maths

2. A minimum of B1 / 80% grade in Science

3. Average grade point in Maths and Science taken together must be 8.5

4. A minimum of 7.0 CGPA

Science stream without Maths

1. Science without mathematics may be allowed if the student has secured B1 grade in Science with at least 8.0 CGPA

For Admission to commerce Stream

1. A minimum of 7.0 /70% CGPA

2. Mathematics can be offered if the student has obtained minimum of B1 grade in Maths.

For admission to Humanities Stream

1. All students declared successful by CBSE with 60% [ B2 – C1 ] would be granted admission subject to availability of seats.

A Science English Maths/Hindi/Geog/ Painting Physics Chemistry Biology/Comp. Sci. Phy. Edu.
B Commerce English Maths/Hindi/Geog/ Painting B. Studies Acctt Eco. Phy. Edu.
C Humanities English Painting Hindi Eco. Geog. Phy. Edu.

Note : Any Student who wants Maths & Biology in class XI should have A1 / A [90 – 100] in either Maths or Science.

Admission to Class X & XII

No admission is granted directly in Classes X & XII normally. However exceptional cases will be looked into as per CBSE guidelines.

General conditions

i. A student seeking admission to any class will be eligible for admission to that class only if he Has been studying in a School recognized by or affiliated to CBSE or any other recognized board of secondary Education in India.

ii. Passed qualifying examination making him eligible for admission to that Class.

iii. Satisfies the requirements of age limits (minimum and maximum).

Documents required

i. The School Leaving Certificate/Transfer Certificate signed by the Head of the institution last attended and countersigned by competent authority.

ii. Report card in support of his having passed the qualifying or equivalent qualifying examination attested by the principal of school last attended.

iii. Date of Birth Certificate issued in accordance with the provision of the Birth, death and marriages registration Act 1886 as proof of date of birth.

iv. Proof of residence (Copy of Passport/ Electricity or Tele. Phone bill/driving license)

v. Copy of Aadhar Cards of the student, Father and Mother

vi. Copy of Income Certificate of parents- both father and mother

vii. Copy of Caste Certificate- if applicable only

viii. A migration certificate from the Board/university if the candidate is seeking admissions in Class XI and has passed class X examination from any board/university other than CBSE.
