NCC Camp at Ranibagh (14 Aug,2019)
Our Ncc Cadets joined NCC camp which was held from 14th, August to 23rd August 2019 which was held at Ranibagh. the students participated in various activities such as Group Song, Group Dance, Firing, Public Speaking, and Volleyball and won Many prizes.

ATL Innovative Fest (09 Sep,2019)
The TinkerFest was aimed at encouraging students to use Atal Tinkering Labs for innovative thinking, learning to make product prototypes and developing problem-solving and entrepreneurial skills. The International Day of Yoga (21 Jun,2019)
Since its inception in the year 2015, June 21st is celebrated as The International Day of Yoga all over the world. Our School celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm. Students demonstrated various asanas followed by Omkar chanting. Warm up exercises were taken and all the students performed sitting and standing asanas, importance of these were explained simultaneously under the guidance of Swami Tejomanand. The celebration concluded with “Hawan” and speech by our Principal. He encouraged students to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration. Regular practice of yoga will surely help our students achieve a better life, physically, mentally and spiritually as well.

Social and emotional learning programs for youth not only immediately improve mental health, social skills, and learning outcomes but also continue to benefit children years later. The school organized a workshop on Emotional Intelligence on 24-May-2019 for the students of classes XI and XII and the teachers. Dr. Manjushree Palit and Ms. Deepbala Chudhary Mr. Suryakant Jain from Department of Emotional Intelligence from J.P. Jindal University conducted the workshop. In this workshop teachers participated from Lakes International, Vishvkulam, Woodbridge, Green Mount Global Bhimtal, St. Xavier and Long View School Nainital
Investiture Ceremony 2019 (17 May,2019)
Beginning of the every academic year, Investiture ceremony is one of the most important events of any school. It is here that we entrust faith and hope in our newly appointed school council. Our School held its Investiture Ceremony on the 17th of May, 2019. The coruscating and engaging ceremony was graced by the Principal Mr. R.K. Wadhwa , Mr. A. S. Verma who conferred the badges to the newly formed council. In his speech asked the students to work hard to make H.G.S. the best school in the city. He said that in order to make the school a prominent one, students need to be simple in their hearts, simple in words and vibrant in actions.” Leaders are the role models who inspire the followers and motivate them to reach the pinnacle of the success.” The Head Boy Master Gaurav Kapkoti led the student council take an oath to undertake all their duties with sincerity and responsibility. They are the torch bearers of all the values that the school stands for and urged them to take up the responsibility with commitment and integrity.
CAREER COUNSELLING PROGRAMME IN BOAT HOUSE NAINITAL (24 Apr,2019)
On Wednesday,24 th April, Class 11 and 12 students were escorted by the teachers: Mrs. Anupa Rani, Mr. Kamal Pathak, Ms. Lalita Joshi, Mrs. Tara Bisht, Mr. Umesh Joshi and Mr. Himanshu Fartayal for the career counselling programme organized especially for the students in Nainital which was guided by career counsellor “Esha Shah”. The students were informed about the various career options in their respected streams and were also informed about the various institutions (national, international) that they could join in future. Students were informed specially about integrated courses such as MBA, BBA, INFORMATICS, GRAPHICS, ANIMATIONS, MEDICAL, ASTROPHYSICS, FASHION DESIGNING and FINE ARTS offered by esteemed universities such as the “UNIVERSITY OF DUNDEE” and the “UNIVERSITY OF BARBADOS”. All the students and teachers are highly obliged and would like to thank respected Principal sir for allowing them to attain this counselling programme.
Blood Donation Camp (23 Apr,2019)
The school, in association with the B. D. Pandey Hospital,Naintal organised a blood donation camp held on 23rd April 2019 in the school premises. The staff members displayed true humanitarian spirit, a hallmark by participating in the camp enthusiastically. The donors found fit were happy to contribute in saving someone’s life.Staff and parents displayed full commitment and involvement in the cause and turned up in large numbers to donate blood. Students also enthusiastically created awareness.

Our School celebrated Atal Community Day on 18th April, 2019. In this program our trained students helped and instructed students from other schools it was a great experience for students and mentors from GGIC, GIC, Kendriya Vidhyalaya, Mount Alvern .Our school organized a Inter School Speech Competition on “Robotics and Future”. Dr Ashutosh Bhatt from BIAS, Bhimtal and Dr. P.G. Joshi from N.M.O.N Science Department were present to grace the occasion. Bhajan Performance by International Bhajan Singer Mr. Imam and Team was successfully conducted in our school. Even though singing the Lord's name without following any order of performance will always benefit. During his performance supported by his team, he taught and encouraged our students and staff to sing bhajans wholeheartedly, with the proper use of voice and body positions. The whole hall was filled with beautiful music, enthusiastic hand claps and devotional voices in harmony. Those who attended left with a feeling of full happiness and contentment.
Hindi Diwas Celebration (10 Sep,2019)
10.09.2019-14.09.2019 The school celebrated ‘Hindi Diwas’ on September 10, 2019 - 14-09-019 to show respect and appreciation towards their Mother tongue. A special Assembly was organized in this regard in Hindi tracing the origin of the language. The students presented the life and works of different poets and authors of Hindi Literature through Role Plays. The Assembly concluded on a promising note where the students highlighted the importance of the language in today’s scenario. Principal Mr. R.K. Wadhwa congratulated the students and Hindi department for putting up a wonderful show and also encouraged students to respect and appreciate their mother tongue.

World Earth Day & Swatch Bharat Campaign (18 Apr,2019)
18.04.2019 -22.04.2019 “Earth Day” was celebrated on 22nd April 2019 with much enthusiasm. The aim was to sensitize the students towards their role in addressing global environmental challenges at grass root level. Earth Day is a great time to plan fun, educational, and action-oriented activities. Which showcase classroom environmental education, highlighting efforts to “green” the school facility by engaging the Students in activities like; Debates , Go Green – Science Fair, Earth Day Poster contest, Earth Day Quiz Contest. Our School organised an “Earth Day Parade”and performed a “Nukkar Natak” at the Datt, Bhimtal. The principal thanked the staff and students for their remarkable performance at the Datt.

Second National Mas Oyama Memorial full contact karate Tournament was held on 03 June 2018 in Hermann Gmeiner School Bhimtal. Seven students of our school participated in this tournament and two students Aditya Singh Rawat Hash Rautela got Gold Medal each and two students Bora Yogesh Tiwari got Silver Medal and one student Gagandeep got Bronze Medal.

Hiking Trip to Karkotak Temple, Bhimtal (06 May,2018)
The students and the staff visited Karkotak Temple (Temple of the Snake God and said to be the younger brother of Sheshnag). The temple is atop a hill (the highest in Bhimtal nearly 6000 Ft). It was a steady climb of nearly 3 KMs from a point on Bhimtal Naukuchiyatal Road (took two hours for us as we were on a hiking trip). All along the hike you get views of Bhimtal. Once you are at the top you get almost 360 degree views (do not expect a lot as you are only at 6000 Ft). It is a good place for camping as well.
Investiture Ceremony - 2018 (12 May,2018)
The school conducted its Investiture Ceremony on 12th May 2018 The ceremony began with the unfurling of school flag by the Principal Mr. R.K. Wadhwa. The senior student council thanked the school management for giving them the opportunity to develop leadership skills. The Chief Guest Mr. Ram Singh Kaira (MLA Bhimtal) then pinned the badges to the newly elected office bearers. The Captains, Vice Captains and the prefect took the oath to abide by the school rules and hold the school motto of Loyalty, Truth and Honour in high esteem. Mr. Ram Singh Kaira (MLA Bhimtal) congratulated the office bearers and experienced his hope that the office bearers will work for the good of the institution and deliver their responsibilities to the best of their abilities. The Principal Mr. R.K. Wadhwa expressed desire that the newly inducted council will be the role model for the students.

On the occasion of World Earth day, Mr. Ashish Kual, PET escorted 30 students of Class VIII for a cleanliness campaign at Village Jaikhola. Routine Medical Checkup School Nurse Miss Manisha Bisht visited the village Jaikhola for routine checkup of villagers. She checked 25 villagers and suggested hem for diet, blood pressure etc. Basic Knowledge of Traditional composting Mr. Kamal K Pathak, PGT Biology and Mr. Ashish Kaul, PET went to village Jaikhola and Talla Dhungshil to make aware villages about Traditional Composting knowledge like the use of waste, leaves etc for making compost.
